Your Team's Impact
StreetAccount is a division of FactSet that aggregates, filters, and contextualizes real-time financial market news for institutional investors. We are expanding our sector coverage and seeking a News Analyst to cover the Oil and Gas and Power and Utilities sectors.
What You'll Do
Your role will involve all aspects of providing content to our clients, from identifying information, research, and news that is material and actionable, to writing concise comments that allow investors to immediately grasp their impact. The News Analyst will collaborate with the analytical team in the creation of content.
You will be primarily focused on providing daily commentary on the Oil and Gas and Power and Utilities sectors, as well as time-sensitive comments and more in-depth observations of current sector dynamics.
Sector positions require an early start time to ensure that detailed summaries are published before the North American market open.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Requirements:
- 1-2 years’ experience in a market-focused role (analyst, trader, PM, equity/currency/bond sales, economist, etc.) or demonstrated working knowledge of US equity markets
- Demonstrated understanding of equities and/or stock markets, acquired through professional or academic experience
- Excellent written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future
Preferred Skills:
- Ability to quickly digest and analyze information
- A strong interest in Financial Markets
- Familiarity with commodities, such as oil and gas, is a plus
- Experience or in-depth knowledge of Oil and Gas and/or Power and Utilities sectors is preferred
- Advanced degree preferred
