Christian Hospital is seeking an Inventory Systems Coordinator for our operating room!

Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 AM-3 PM 


Overview

Christian was nationally ranked as “high performing” in the clinical specialty of geriatrics and in the following seven of 21 common procedures and conditions: heart attack, heart failure, kidney failure, diabetes, COPD, pneumonia and stroke. High performing in a specialty means we were in the top 10% nationally of all evaluated hospitals for that specialty or procedure and condition.

Northwest HealthCare, six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services.

The Surgical Services Department performs emergency, trauma, elective, in-patient, out-patient, and ambulatory/same day surgery. ASD also does pre-and post-procedure assessment and recovery of special procedures patients, and pre-procedure assessment of cardiac cath lab patients. Specialties include general surgery, orthopedics, GU, GYN, thoracic, ophthalmic, vascular, plastic, neuro, dental, ENT, endoscopic, cardiovascular, and podiatry.


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Coordinates the materials acquisition process and the day to day management of materials for an assigned units or departments. Responsibilities include reviewing and discussing inventory usages and requirements with managers/clinicians to reach appropriate inventory levels, and maintaining inventory and/or supply information systems to place and track orders and prepare reports.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures necessary supplies are available to provide quality patient care.
  • Assesses departmental cost containment as it relates to inventory and product selection.
  • Assists with monitoring contract compliance and tracks and documents return of items.
  • Supports administrative activities for the operating roomas it relates to inventory.
  • Minimum Requirements
